SACARAM Ultimate

A visit to the majestic Maracas Waterfall, the highest in Trinidad & Tobago, is a timeless classic. Perhaps most Trinbagonians and visitors to our island have been here, to witness its prowess at 91m/300ft. Access to this attraction is an easy, straight forward 1.8km/1mi trek; well except if you pay it a visit with CoolBlue Evolution.

If you dare, then you will be one of the privilaged to earn the right to spell it backwards... SACARAM! you will also quickly realize that its listed height of 300ft is at least 50ft off the mark.

THE APPROACH

Starting at the end of Waterfall Rd. (Maracas Valley) you will almost immediately be faced with a steadty incline of 6km/3.7mi. You are now at the very top of Maracas Waterfall. Before your 'no guts, no glory' 350ft/106m rappel, you will get sufficient time to get your body and mind ready with the 150ft/45m drop which takes you there. This segment is split into 2 pitches.

When you get to the final pitch, this would be your point of no return. Just take a couple deep breaths and go for it... we will regroup at the base!

After a well deserved lunch break, we prod along down river and back to the start point. With plus 300ft drops, technical rock scrambles, an intense approach and 13km/8mi downstream, you would conquered our SACARAM Ultimate
